Ken Katayama

Ken Katayama

In 1962, he became a member of the Sogetsu School.
He studied under the first head of the school, Teshigahara Sofu, and the second head of the school, Kasumi.
He has served as head of the Fukuoka branch of Ikebana International and head of the Fukuoka Prefecture branch of the Sogetsu Association, and has given demonstrations and lectures in countries around the world, including Europe, the United States, and Asia, while also creating installations in public spaces such as department stores and hotel lobbies in Japan.
Received the Fukuoka City Culture Award in 2021.
